Like most musicians Jim is self taught and is influenced by anything (and literally anyone) from Johann Sebastian (that’s the Bach fellow not the other one) to Adele; blues and rock being his greatest love. He does, however, draw the line at those people from Preston.

Jim has played in many unmemorable bands over the years with his musical apprenticeship ranging from the dreaded working-mens clubs to open air festivals, highlighted by one memorable gig where there was literally one man and his dog: the dog liked it, he thinks the man got his money back. Jim also plays with the other excellent local band the Delta Sheiks.

Yes there are 2 Dr’s in the band. Known “affectionately” (he thinks) as “Dr G” by his work mates, Jim is a Principal Building Control Surveyor, working in the profession for longer than he can remember. Jim is now semi-retired, however, Rose (the better half by far) finds plenty for him to do at home during his lazy days off.
